Cream Crested Geckos for sale in the UK
Cream is a pale Harlequin crested gecko with a pattern that goes from cream to white instead of the usual orange. Because the shade varies from one gecko to the next, you should judge the animal in front of you rather than the label.

About the Cream gene
The Cream crested gecko is a Harlequin with body markings that go from cream to white instead of orange. Because it is a colour call on an existing pattern gene and not its own trait, you are really judging how clean and pale the patterning is. This varies from one animal to the next.
Appearance
Blotchy markings on the dorsum, legs and sides of Harlequin crested geckos sit over a base of black, dark brown or orange. Instead of the orange at the other end of the same range, the markings on a Cream run pale from soft cream to nearly white. WP (white pattern) and OP (orange pattern) are the two terms keepers use to shorten these. The most common shade WP takes is cream. Because the markings are sharper and paler, the Cream call is stronger, and animals that are the crispest are sold as Extreme Cream.
Genetics
Cream is not a single gene but polygenic: several colour genes work together on a Harlequin's pattern and push the marking colour toward white instead of orange. There is no super or het in the genetic sense. You will find two names in listings, Cream and Pos Cream. To clean up the colour and remove the washed-out browns, breeders created the C2 line by breeding cream to cream over several generations.
