Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bask, a service operated by Bask Market Ltd ("Bask", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17430169. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Bask.

1. Who can use Bask

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Bask is intended for use in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for everything done through your account.

2. What Bask is, and what it is not

Bask is a classified-advertising and contact platform for reptiles and reptile-keeping equipment. We let keepers and breeders list animals and equipment and let buyers browse and message sellers.

Bask is not a party to any sale. We do not buy, sell, own, handle, ship or take payment for any animal or item advertised. Every transaction is arranged and completed privately, directly between buyer and seller. We are not responsible for the animals or items listed, the accuracy of listings, the conduct of users, or the outcome of any sale. See our Disclaimer below and on each listing.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the listings, photos, messages, reviews and other content you post. By posting it, you grant us a licence to host and display it so we can operate the service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Rules you agree to follow

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use & Community Rules, our Selling & Listing Rules, and our Animal Welfare & Seller Responsibilities policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Our Complaints, Reporting & Moderation policy explains how.

5. Fees

Bask is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in future, we will set out clear, separate terms and you will not be charged without agreeing to them first.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, from dealings between users, or from the condition, health, legality or description of any animal or item advertised. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these Terms and will post changes here. We may suspend or close accounts that break our rules or the law. You can close your account at any time.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
