Enchi Royal Pythons For Sale in the UK

Enchi is a colour and pattern gene, and it does something different to each part of the animal. The head reads almost normal, save for heavy blushing over the crown and eye stripes lifted to a brighter yellow. The flanks go golden-yellow, the dark ground colour sits at a chocolate tone, and the faded alien heads carry a copper-to-bronze cast. Pattern is cut right back: the alien heads flatten into featureless shapes. The tail finishes much as a normal's does, a thick stripe or a beaded run, but in Enchi gold.

Enchi gets better as the animal grows. Colour changes substantially on the way to maturity: the oranges deepen and the yellows brighten, so an adult can look a long way from the hatchling it was. A hatchling photograph understates where the animal ends up.

Inheritance is incomplete dominant, which the hobby usually calls co-dom. That gives two rows to buy from: Enchi for a single copy, and the super form, Super Enchi, for two. Colour is the agreed part of the super, brighter and more intense than a single-copy animal. The super's pattern is disputed: larger patches and a head marking, or a further reduction in pattern.
