About the Puzzle gene
A Puzzle's head could pass for a normal royal python's, just with a deeper tone through the colour. The sides are where the gene shows: serrated alien heads climbing the flanks in an earthy green and yellow. The tail usually ends in a thick stripe or a beading of pattern, close to a normal again, though the broken side patterning carries on through the rest of the animal.
Puzzle is recessive, so on a listing anything short of a visual looks like a normal royal python. Beside the visual row the catalogue carries Het Puzzle, 50% Het Puzzle, 66% Het Puzzle and Pos Het Puzzle, and titles sometimes spell the gene Puzle or Puzzl.
Buzz, Pastel Puzzle and Pastel Enchi Puzzle are the combination names worth searching. Each one names a multi-gene animal rather than a listing category of its own. Sean Bradley of Exotics By Nature Co. first produced Puzzle in 2011.
