Piebald Royal Pythons For Sale in the UK

No two Piebalds are marked the same. The gene stops pigment reaching whole sections of the animal, so pure white sits against skin that keeps its normal colour and pattern. How much pattern survives is random. The hobby calls an animal with none at all high white, and one patterned across practically the whole snake low white.

The head usually reads as a normal's: black or dark brown, a stripe on each side just behind the nostrils, and the pattern tending to start in a Y at the top of the neck. Some Pieds carry a mostly white head with only a smudge of colour. Where a normal's alien heads would sit, blotches and stripes run down the body, heaviest higher up and thinning towards the tail. The belly is usually clean white, with an unmarked, glossy stretch of scales, though spots and smudges do turn up, and tails go either way, fully white or fully patterned. An almost patternless upper body occurs, but rarely. That contrast keeps Pied among the strongest genes in many collections.

Small eyes turn up in particular Piebald combinations: Lesser Platinum Piebald, and the Super Bamboo, Super Daddy Gene, Super Lesser, Super Mocha, Super Mojave, Super Mystic, Super Phantom, Super Russo, Super Special, Super Disco, Super Fire, Super Flame, Super Lemonback, Super Sulfur and Super Vanilla Piebalds all tend towards it. If you are buying one of those pairings, ask the seller about the animal's eyes and get photographs of its head.

Piebald is recessive, so Het Piebald, 50% Het Piebald, 66% Het Piebald and Pos Het Piebald all look like a normal ball python. Pied is the common short name for it.
