About the Axanthic (VPI) gene
Axanthic ball pythons run silver, white and gray, with brown undertones. Axanthic (VPI) is the recessive axanthic line Dave and Tracy Barker of Vida Preciosa International (VPI) proved out in 1997. The catalogue lists it as its own family, separate from Axanthic (TSK). Sellers also write it as VPI Axanthic, or simply VPI. Anything other than a visual looks like a normal ball python, whichever row it sits under: Het, 50% Het, 66% Het and Pos Het Axanthic (VPI).
