About the Albino gene

A visual Albino carries no black pigment at all. The colour left behind is lemon yellow against white.

Albino is recessive: anything other than a visual, including Het Albino, 50% Het Albino, 66% Het Albino and Pos Het Albino, looks like a normal ball python. For a het, ask the seller which pairing produced the clutch and what each parent was proven to carry; the pairing record is what holds a het label up.

The gene is also written Amelanistic or Tyrosinase (t-) Albino. Lavender Albino, Caramel Albino and Bourgogne Albino are different genes with catalogue rows of their own, so a listing tagged Albino means this gene and none of those.
